Motivated by her own poor choices as a teenager, Altermease Kendrick made it her life passion to help guide a new generation of children down a different path. She founded My Choice Community Development in 2003 to provide after school care, tutoring, community field trips and parental support to families in the North Riviera Beach and Lake Park neighborhoods. Listen as she and her organization’s board members Gerald Adams and Mario Dickerson describe how these programs have changed the lives of hundreds of young people. My Choice currently is building a new charter school that will expand its offerings to neighborhood children. For information about how you can support their efforts with your time and financial support, call 561-844-2173, or visit their website here.
