Lynn Cancer Institute/ League of Ribbons

The Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute is one of the largest cancer centers in South Florida and is accredited as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons. The Lynn Cancer Institute treats an estimated 4,000 newly diagnosed cancer patients each year in facilities such as the Harvey & Phyllis Sandler Pavilion, our state-of-the-art cancer center; as well as our other respective satellite locations in Delray Beach.


More than 20 oncology physicians and a full complement of oncology professionals are on staff to serve the patients at the Lynn Cancer Institute. Our patients receive treatment and services from specialists in genetics, surgery, radiation oncology, medical oncology, pathology and imaging. In addition, our staff includes research nurses, who improve patient access to clinical trials and the most advanced forms of treatment.

A unique approach at the Lynn Cancer Institute is our multimodality care. Each multimodality team is comprised of physicians and healthcare professionals who specialize in a specific site of cancer. The team is able to develop standards of care for the specific disease site it treats. These standards reflect the most advanced technology and current treatments available.

This simplifies the entire process for our patients, from diagnosis and treatment, to Wellness and Survivorship programs and allows our patients to focus on one thing — recovery. Learn More HERE


The Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute was built on the principle that the best cancer care requires united, singleminded efforts of physicians, staff, patients and their families. The League of Ribbons was created in June 2012 as a force to bring together the talent, heart and dedication of people who want to support the Lynn Cancer Institute and its mission to be united in purpose and to stand empowered against cancer.

The League of Ribbons funds many different programs including, but not limited to, providing gifts cards for groceries and gas, health and wellness programs for patients and the community-at-large and guided imagery, yoga and massage therapy for cancer patients in treatment.

Center for Active Aging

The Center for Active Aging provides supportive services and activities to individuals 60 years of age and older in order to improve their quality of life, promote their independence and encourage their involvement with the community. Services include, but are not limited to, information and referral, education and training, health support, counseling, recreation, transportation, nutrition, the Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program (EHEAP) and volunteer opportunities.

‘Tis the season to show your Spirit of Giving. The Annual Holiday Gift Drive will ensure that the holiday wishes of over 5,000 local children come true. The Spirit of Giving Network is the leading organization in our community granting holiday wishes to children; it is a grand community-wide project and we cannot do it without your support. This year, you can help make a child’s wish come true in the following ways:

Kelly/Strul Emerging Scholar Program at FAU

The Kelly/Strul Emerging Scholars Program provides first-generation, low-income students with financial resources and personal support to help them graduate from FAU in four years or less.

The Need

2017 statistics reveal that 53% of college students graduate with roughly $23,300 in student loan debt. National student debt, a hot topic for financial watchdogs, has surpassed credit card and other forms of personal debt, coming in second only to mortgage debt. Encompassing 45 million+ graduates, and reaching more than $1.4 trillion, national student debt has become a crisis.

The financial ripple effect for graduates saddled with student debt is substantial.

The Mission

By addressing systemic barriers and challenges, we provide a full grant and scholarship financial aid package as well as a comprehensive support program to ensure students thrive at Florida Atlantic University. We help students develop valuable college success strategies, build confidence, understand their first-generation identity, connect to peer and professional mentors, and access campus resources which prepare them for a successful college career and meaningful post-graduate life. Our Mission

AmFund is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the mission of raising funds for other nonprofits in the United States.

How It All Began…

AmFund’s Founders, Barbara and Wade West worked as news anchors and reporters for over 30 years. Throughout their award winning careers, they were frequently asked to emcee charity events to raise money for worthy missions. 

Having attended these fundraising events, they noticed that worthy nonprofits were leaving money on the table by not making the most of their captive donor audience. 

Growing tired of focusing on crime, crisis and corruption, they knew there was something better. Using their experience and knowledge, they made it their life mission to form the 501(c)(3) nonprofit fundraising organization, the American Fundraising Foundation-AmFund.

Using their 20 years of experience in fundraising special events, open asks, silent and live auctions, AmFund partners with 501(c)(3) nonprofits across the United States to help them meet their fundraising goals, one community at a time.

Impact 100 Men

Impact 100 Men Palm Beach County is made up of men who are committed to improving the community through grants to local nonprofits that are transforming the community. This group seeks to advance high impact giving and action in the South Palm Beach County area by bringing men together to make a singular impact. Impact 100 Men champions the “power of giving as one” and makes it possible for a visionary idea to become a reality in a way that impacts the community. Up to $100,000 will be awarded to a local nonprofit through a majority vote of all Impact 100 Men members at an annual meeting after a proposal review process.

United Way of Palm Beach County acts as the fiscal agent for Impact 100 Men and provides grant and donor-related administrative support.

unLIMBited Foundation

In carrying out our mission, we strive to:

  • Provide highly specialized, pioneering techniques to a wider range of children and adults who suffer from rare and neglected bone diseases, limb deficiencies and skeletal abnormalities.
  • Promote public awareness of Dr. Dror Paley’s innovative medical procedures throughout the medical community, and to those who are afflicted.
  • Educate and mentor orthopedic surgeons worldwide in the application of advanced techniques.
  • Ease the financial burden by providing financial aid for housing, for qualifying families, while their children are being treated at The Paley Orthopedic and Spine Institute.

The funds from the unLIMBited Foundation are used in a variety ways to further our commitment to

“Saving Limbs, Changing Children’s Lives.” 

Funds from the Foundation are allocated to:

  • Ease the financial burden on patients by assisting them with housing (Tommy Fund)
  • Support research and educational programming (Medical Innovation Fund)


Most of us are fortunate enough to give a hug with our own two hands, or feel the sand beneath our own two feet, but for others born with severe limb anomalies, performing life’s most basic actions is just simply not possible. For these children, limb saving and correction treatment is critical for a better quality of life. For many families though, access to these specialized surgical and rehabilitation treatments is not financially feasible.


Limb lengthening and limb deformity correction is a very complicated process. Meticulous surgical technique, vigilant follow up, and aggressive rehabilitation are required for a successful outcome. The results of lengthening are highly dependent on the experience of the surgeon and his surrounding clinical staff.  Dr. Paley has been performing lengthening and limb deformity correction surgeries for over twenty-five years. He is currently the most experienced limb lengthening surgeon in the world, having performed over 17,000 lengthening surgeries.

Dr. Paley has developed over 100 new operative procedures for bone and soft-tissue reconstruction of congenital, developmental, and post-traumatic limb disorders. You can learn more about Dr. Paley and his team by going to www.paleyinstitute.org.


Speak Up For Kids Palm Beach County

Speak Up for Kids of Palm Beach County, Inc. is the exclusive 501(c)(3) fundraising arm for the Guardian ad Litem Program of Palm Beach County, Florida. 

We champion best-interest child advocacy through the recruitment, training and retention of court-appointed volunteer child advocates. Through effective advocacy the cycles of abuse, violence, and crime are being broken one child at a time, and children’s futures are being rewritten. 

These “guardian angels” are committed solely to each child’s emotional, educational, and physical well-being throughout dependency court proceedings as the only 100% objective voice,  serving as ‘the eyes and ears of the dependency court’.


#1 Therapeutic Court 
An award-winning pilot, the first of its kind in the US, to serve the most complex cases in our county through a round-table team approach. Every agency involved in a child’s case is represented and held accountable every week in a single meeting with Judge oversight. In its first year, TC achieved 11 adoptions across the 20 most  

#2 Early Childhood Court 
Child victims of abuse enter the system at every age. ECC is targeting the best interests of infant and toddler child victims and their families working toward safe, permanent placement of these young ones faster. 

#3 Foster Palm Beach
Dependency numbers continue to rise, and safe housing for our children remains in short supply. In 2018, we extended our impact efforts by creating Foster Palm Beach to recruit more foster families locally––a natural extension of our efforts to
Speak Up for Kids.

In 1988, the Broward Cultural Division completed its Cultural Master Plan. One recommendation was to improve business involvement in the arts by starting a Broward County Affiliate of the very successful national program, Business Volunteers for the Arts® (BVA). With leadership from the Cultural Arts Task Force of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce and the Broward Cultural Affairs Council (BCAC) this recommendation was realized in July 1988, when BVA/Broward was incorporated as a non-profit organization in Florida. With the receipt of 501(C)(3) status from the IRS BVA/Broward, Inc. began operations in January of 1989.

By 1991, a Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA) program was established, followed by the ArtServe Business Center (ABC), which was made possible by a three-year, $150,00 National Endowment for the Arts grant award. The three programs, BVA, VLA and ABC, were merged in 1993 under the umbrella of ArtServe.

ArtServe is now centrally located in Fort Lauderdale, sharing its 25,000 sq. ft. venue  with a Broward County branch library. This multi-purpose facility provides low-cost space where artists, non-profits and the public can hold classes, workshops, performances, meetings, events, and conduct business.

  • Multi-purpose Auditorium
  • Main Art Gallery
  • Dance Studio
  • Artist Studios and Art Class Space
  • Private Gallery Exhibition Spaces
  • Affordable offices and suites for artists and non-profits
  • Flex space for workshops, presentations and training
  • Board and Meeting Rooms
  • Gift Shop

The Business Center features nearly 20 private office suites which rent for low rates, thereby allowing cultural non-profits and organizations that support non-profits to minimize their administrative overhead, and put more resources back into building their organization. The facilities are provided at low rates to artists and nonprofit organizations.

ArtServe’s scope of services has expanded and numerous programs have been added to meet the demands of the South Florida arts community. Through private and public funding, ArtServe has developed a series of programs aimed at strengthening and assisting local artists and nonprofit cultural groups in their business-related and marketing efforts.

ArtServe has become a national model for other arts incubators and artist-support groups.
