Gale Butler, Vice President of Public Affairs for AutoNation, is involved in countless charitable organizations, but one touches her in a deeply personal way. Her close friend, Jane, is fighting Stage Four melanoma and has leaned on the American Cancer Society for support and information. Listen as Broward’s Executive Director Tracy Paige gives an overview of the countless resources ACS has to offer, from free wigs, make-up tips and prosthesis to camps for kids. Gale also talks about a new fundraising event for the American Cancer Society designed to raise awareness about melanoma and importance of regular screenings. The one-mile Melanoma Moon Walk will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort, 2000 North Ocean Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Tickets are $65.00. Sponsorships are also available.
