This week on the Forum for nonprofits we had Suzy Broad with Sweet Dream Makers. Hundreds of struggling families in Palm Beach and Broward Counties are referred to us each year though Social Service agencies and community organizations that work with children and families. They put an average of 50 kids per month into new beds as well as providing gently-used furniture and housewares to families who are furniture poor. The families they serve may have previously been homeless, lost everything due to bed bugs, are unemployed, the working poor, migrant workers, victims of domestic violence, the disabled and the elderly.
