Autism Speaks

Daniel D Cantor Senior Center

Related imageWe had the opportunity to speak with Gail Weisberg, the Executive Director of the Daniel D Cantor Senior CenterThe Daniel D. Cantor Senior Center is a hub of social, educational and recreational activities for seniors in the North West Broward area. They offer more than 60 classes each month. The Kurt and Alice Walter Adult Day Care Pavilion houses the Adult Day Care/Alzheimer’s Respite Programs. Guitars Not Guns

Image result for guitars not gunsWe had the pleasure of talking to Jimmy Rucollo, President of the Florida chapter of Guitars Not Guns. Guitars Not Guns provides guitar lessons to foster children and at-risk youth in a classroom setting with qualified teachers as an alternative to violence. In addition to learning how to master changing from one chord to another, children learn perseverance & discipline and build self-esteem. Broward Regional Health Planning Council

brhpc-broward-regional-health-planning-council-navlogo1We had the pleasure of having Regine Kanzki, Division Director, Ruth Thomas, ACA Navigator, Jean -Robert Menard, Assistant and Program Manager at Broward Regional Health Planning Council. BRHPC’s direct service programs serve uninsured and underinsured low-income Broward County residents. These services include Early Learning/School Readiness, HIV/AIDS Planning, Quality Assurance, Eligibility, Housing Assistance, Consumer Advocacy, Mental Health, Chronic Disease Self-Management, Health Promotion, Disease Prevention, Substance Abuse, Maternal/Child Health and Forensic Re-integration.
